Geared Up for Growth

WHILE VIRGINIA FOUNDATION SOLUTIONS is a relatively recent addition to the Contractor Nation family, their place in the network feels a bit like destiny. Danny Farris, founder and owner of VFS, followed Contractor Nation and Larry Janesky for years. So, when the territory of southeast Virginia became available in 2017, he knew it was an opportunity he needed to seize.

While their goal was clear and their ambition obvious, any new company looking to grow experiences challenges. For Danny, it’s working on the business while he’s still needed to work in the business. With a strong but lean team, VFS is constantly working to keep marketing, sales, and production in a fine balance. “Without it,” Danny says, “we don’t feel we would be able to give our customers the level of service they deserve.”

Through hard work, however, and keeping that balance in meticulous order, VFS has created an infrastructure that is ready for more. They’re revamping their brand and marketing to be more memorable and better support their company’s identity. They’ve moved to a new 25,000 sq. ft. facility that’s allowing them to attract top talent. They’re establishing KPIs for each gear to collectively elevate their team. And while their goals and values have not changed, Danny made it clear that VFS is entering a new era.
