Field Service Technician (Paid Training, Company Vehicle)

Woodford Bros., Inc. is hiring Field Service Technicians to perform inspections, maintenance, and service on residential/commercial systems we’ve installed. This is a customer-facing role focused on solving problems and maintaining systems, with the opportunity to earn additional income through low-pressure, needs-based recommendations.

Pay & Compensation

• $47,000 – $60,000+ annually
• $20/hour base (after training) + commission
• Commission typically 7–11% on additional work identified during service visits
• Paid training provided

Schedule

• Start time between 6:30 AM – 7:00 AM
• Typical end time around 4:00 PM
• Days can run slightly shorter or longer depending on jobs
• Occasional weekends (not standard)
• No seasonal layoffs – steady, year-round work

What You’ll Do

• Perform inspections, maintenance, and service on installed systems
• Diagnose issues and complete minor repairs
• Identify problems and recommend additional solutions when needed
• Communicate clearly with homeowners and provide a strong customer experience
• Document work performed and maintain service records

Work Environment

• Residential job sites across Central NY, North Country, Southern Tier, and Capital Region
• Work includes basements, crawlspaces, and other confined areas
• Some jobs can be dirty and physically demanding
• Mix of independent work and team support

What We’re Looking For

• Construction, mechanical, or hands-on background preferred
• Comfortable using tools and working in varied environments
• Ability to communicate with customers and build trust
• Willingness to learn light sales (we train—no aggressive selling experience required)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated
